I really enjoy John Hunt's posts and have learned so much in a short time. Great addition to the Crisis Investing team!
I got lucky and bought some URA "lowish" before subscribing to CI. Sold all of it "highish" several months ago. That powder is sitting dry waiting for the next "lowish" buying opportunity, so keep us posted please!
Wonderful! Good trades are good for you, us, the economy and all concerned--even the ones who lose on a trade learn a lesson from it-- which, en masse, leads to people making wiser investments, which (again en masse) leads to more optimized capital allocation and more human prosperity. Win!!! I suppose we can say that stock trading is a moral good!
Most of the time that humans and AI write about yellowcake recently, it's beome common to write U 3 Zero 8 instead of U 3 O 8. The lead illustration for the article followes this common mistake. It should be written as a chemical formula showing 3 atoms of uranium "U" and 8 atoms of oxygen "O".
One would think that fundamentals determine price action in the long run with sentiment eventually coinciding, particularly with Uranium and Oil. AI domination in the market may be a factor. In the case of Oil, with reserves nearing empty while Trump meets his match in Iran and gets played every other day in a war he won't and shouldn't fight in earnest other than bombing and his enemy knows it, stocks are back to prewar levels. In what should be a no brainer speculation, the sector remains hated.
Yes, instant liquidity is crucial right now. That means cash. Invest or speculate what you are can afford to lose or lose value at the moment. "But the Dollar is going away!"--Probably not in the next 2 months if ever. Thats what I refer as this current Belt & Road War that is currently going on. Trying buying a gallon of milk or loaf of bread with that Gold OZ coin or even a Silver Dollar you have--good luck with that. The U.S. Dollar is the ONLY currency that has never defaulted. The same can't be claimed by the British Pound and Shilling, Irish Pound/Shilling, the same as the Italian Lira and all of the rest.
On the forming of BRICS Nations "New" financial system--A currency Requires Trust between its members--How many truly believe Russia, China, India, South Africa etc. live in a world of Trust? Short answer, They Don't. "But it's based on Gold!"--Partially but not all. They won't even disclose what amount they hold in tons. "But I have 20 1 oz Gold Coins!"--Good for you, now go try to buy some groceries with that or a firearm for that matter.
I am surprised you don't seriously consider Cameco. I bought them 5 years ago and they have gone up 10x since (now down at 8x). As the largest uranium producer in the western world with very smart management....

You made my afternoon!
Most trading now is done by computer/Algos/AI these days.
I should have mentioned that effect as well. Thanks.
Lol, why my picks aren’t making money right now

Thanks f0r that. I h0pe t0 av0id that err0r in the future.
Although truly, I can't tell that the image is using a zero instead of an O in that font. But it could have.
Sound advice here

God Bless.
Perhaps they are just poor investments?
