What if one of the points of the war is for Hormuz to stay closed? I don’t believe the US president - whether Trump, Biden, or anyone else has full agency. If the US has roughly a $6T annual budget, brings in $4T in revenue, and borrows $2T, then the US president has to keep the money printers happy. On the surface, one would think the money printers at the Fed would want Hormuz open to slow the decline of the dollar hegemony. But we’re in a reserve currency reset. In 2019, the central bankers voted on the Going Direct Reset at their meeting in Jackson Hole. Covid was the opening act. I believe closing Hormuz is Covid 2.0 and part of the reset. They want us to move away from cash and accept programmable digital currency and digital ID’s that will be managed by AI.

Quasi tutti accetteranno

E noi saremo gabbati

Great article and grounded on pure common sense , something trump has no grasp of and due to trump and his court jester cabinet , will be the downfall of the USA as a global leader and potential financial devastation. WAY TO GO trump !!!

Really??? The first sentence is wrong. Can anyone comprehend what they read anymore? Maybe we all should much be like Trump and create our own realities.

Citrini sent a guy to the Strait and just made its report available for free. https://citrini.substack.com/p/free-strait-of-hormuz-a-citrini-field?r=2njx4&utm_medium=ios. I'd be interested in any thoughts. The suggestion is that more dark, AIS-less shadow fleet ships are getting through the Strait than is being reported, though not a significantly greater amount.

I also found Trump's "Truth" announcing the cease fire to be interesting. He said Iran's 10-point conditions were enough to form the basis for negotiations. This was something of an own goal, in my opinion. Drop Site News has published these 10 points for weeks. They are one-sided, Iran wish list items. I think someone pointed this out to Trump after he released his message. He has backtracked ever since -- 'it was a different list,' or 'the sun was in my eyes.'. But, he never produces any 10-point list he claimed to reference in that "Truth" message.

All of that is to say: It was TACO Tuesday

We NEED to Quit NATO...........these countries have been grifting us for years. They do not pay their fair share, and if Trump does it ...that is fine with many of us. Fair trade be damned. We need to shut the borders down and become isolationists at this point. Trump is a negotiator, and that is what he is doing. I guess the people who write in here do not really know much about Islam. I wish people would study history, and what these folks in Iran, and Iraq are really about. Obama tried to deal with them, and even signed some peace treaty at one time with Iran. Three weeks later, they were testing weapons and blowing up their own people. The Saudis offered Clinton Bin Laden, as they knew where he was; and Clinton refused to have anything to do with it. Had we finished this off years ago; they would not be taking over the world. It is not a "kinder, gentler" religion, as George W. actually said! There are 230 mosques in Texas, and just watch what we will turn into if it does not stop. Europe has been ruined, and it is no longer safe for women to walk in Paris. It is part of the Koran (their sacred book) to "kill the infidel".

Trump, unfortunately, is listening to the neocons, and Netanyahu far too much. He is a businessman, and not a politician. God forbid, we should have a businessman in the White House. That does not excuse his naivete, but how many politicians actually have studied the hatred these mullahs and Middle Eastern rulers, have toward the US?

America is a paper tiger ... Putin thinks so too.

Lau - a thought provoking analysis, as always. Do you think it’s possible that The Donald is actually trying to shut down NATO? He’s been complaining about the lopsided expense bearing by members for years as well the reluctance of the pentagon to pair down U.S. presence around the globe. Congress has to approve any withdrawal from NATO - which is highly unlikely since firepower industry is the major source of income for congressmen (as well as those fat flag officers looking for the expected retirement jobs).

It seems that many EU chieftains are now proclaiming that not only is Mr. T rude, disrespectful and insane, but the U.S. cannot be trusted to protect them from any unbecoming behaviors by other nations. Perhaps the EU would do better without the miscreants anyway. Tell them to pick up their toys and be on their way! The Donald would probably be happy to oblige because that would drain a significant portion of the swamp.

I know. A complete disruption of the system would be a bit much. But one can dream…

The Europeans have been financing their socialist/welfare policies because we have protected them with our military and trade policies. It’s time for them to grow up and start acting like adults. Poland and other European nations are exceptions probably because they lived under Communism.

Eventually the lunatic 12ers will get a nuke. The CCP are already helping them with missile fuel and materials. The Putinites are providing intelligence to the Islamists.

And when they do, they will use on Israel and others. They are suicidal in this quest.

The Socialist Democrats use Iranian talking points. The US media cheer on Iranian victory. The feckless Europeans are too afraid of the hordes that now occupy their nations.

England can’t even protect English bases. The English Navy couldn’t win another Falklands War if their lives depended on it. And Putin’s ghost fleet has cruses the English Channel mocking the once powerful British military. The French and Spain are just as bad. Germany can’t enlist men in the military because they would be arming Islamists that have invaded.

So, my money is on President Trump. Don’t cut him short. He knows what’s going on. Pray for him and America.

Thank you.

Alastair Kendall's avatar

America did not help the Brits during the Falklands War...quite the reverse.

Jim's avatar

yes they did, reagan provided weapons and logistics to thatcher. what are you talking about

Alastair Kendall's avatar

The US SOLD 1.5 million gallons of aviation fuel to the joint U.S.–UK base on Ascension Island; they SOLD 20-mm ammunition sonar buoys and 100 AIM-9L sidewinder missiles for our Harrier Jump Jets. The US RFUSED access to US AWACS aircraft as it would have required US military personnel to be directly involved, which Reagan viewed as a step too far. The Americans - like they have always done - treated the whole thing as an arms deal. It is exactly the same way Trump treats Ukraine and European NATO allies with the supply of weapons of that conflict - a business opportunity.

Those who served have never forgotten the lack of American commitment to the UK during the Falklands. Even political support was not given at the start. although by 30th April, Reagan did eventually change course. We were talking just the other day of the similarities between the current American fiasco in the Gulf and their demands of the rest of NATO and their lack of commitment to us during the Falklands. So please do not attempt to gaslight British military veterans with your false narrative. We see who you really are for your corrupt manic regime in the White House has truly lifted the veil off American corruption and greed and we want no part of it.

lol what, you're just yelling at the sky.

as if I had anything to do with it. Insane.

Alastair Kendall's avatar

Obviously you had nothing to do with it, but you had everything to do with the total crap you posted and the tone you chose to use. You posted a falsehood and that is what I responded to. If you are going to post something, make sure it is accurate and you know something of what you are talking about. There are enough poorly informed morons posting crap as it is without you adding to the pile of manure.

Jim's avatar

There's plenty of accounts of what happened. I don't need yours. You weren't there either.

Pull your head in, you sound ridiculous.

obviously the money on the military was misspent...... producing items that enriched a few but without deep value consistent with evolving modern military needs

Excellent, succinct, and I wish our team in Washington had seen this coming.  Why not?  Hubris?  It's a sad, sad, world, but not all that different than it's always been.  Just, at this juncture, it is the US that is being pushed out of hegemony.  How much will that mean for me personally?  I don't know.  We each must play the cards we've got or can get.  When a huge beast like the US of A stumbles around in the playpen, the collateral damage is horrific.  I'm sorry about that.  Thanks, Lau.

I have assumed Iran’s most powerful play is not to choke the world of oil. They have built up a ton of intangible support since 2/28. Instead it is to shave off 20% of our bonds like the author suggested. It’s hard to blame them at this point.

Saw where the Lady from Taiwan visited China. Apparently she is set to become President UNLESS as doctor that election (only sorta joking haha). I would run as far and as fast as I could away from the demented Uncle Same and his deranged nephew Israel.

I know why you Gents moved to South America lol. Wish us luck over here when the curtain finally falls.

Marcel Huerlimann's avatar

Absolutely correct Lau, and do you know what is the most intriguing fact about that all? The US knew it beforehand. In the last two decades the US military performed various high level and detailed war scenarios against Iran. And guess what, all of them always ended with a closed strait of Hormuz. They knew it couldn’t work out. Nevertheless the other Stubborn convinced the greatest commander of all times, TACO, to try it anyway. The USA will be less powerful after this stupidity.

Thank you sir and many of us would love to support Mr. Casey's brilliant work but the $150 a month is way over most of our heads and means. We are truly thankful for the information released gratis but the wall is too steep for many of us to join.

God Bless and Thank you.
