Matt, speaking of Javier Milei...I saw an interview he gave in which the interviewer asked him if it's true that Mr. Milei is converting to Judaism (!?!?). Mr. Milei responded *in the affirmative*, but qualified it by stating that (paraphrasing here) he'd invest more time and thought into his 'conversion' later on in the future, with some vague nod to it as a private spiritual matter.

So Milei is, will be at some point int the future....a Jew.

Since you and Doug have forgotten more than I know about the religious and political context of South America, I wonder..is it common for middle-aged (presumably Catholic-raised?) Argentinians to abruptly convert to Judaism, in this case, soon after assuming office?

Huh.

Regarding the St. Paul's school "flap" and the president's deliberate equivocation ("it's a 'student-lead' initiative" ???), I feel compelled to comment on this.

What we see is the end-product of a ...20 year? ....50 year? ....longer? program of weaponization of guilt, subversion through victimhood, that targets Western civilization, and now that program has born its poison fruit.

The dean/president is merely behaving precisely how he's been conditioned and coerced to act in the face of social degradation and (let's just call a spade a spade) cultural Marxism. That behavior is to stand down, step aside and let himself and his institution get STEAM ROLLED by a vocal and intransigent minority (not in the racial sense but philosophical/values sense) that is deliberately 'acting out' and daring the faculty, the dean, *anyone* to challenge them. Because we've ALL seen that movie before. IF the dean applies common sense and reason and tells the cultural Marxists embedded in the student body (and undoubtedly in the faculty) to STAND DOWN, what happens?

1. Race baiting

2. Victim card playing, expert level passive-aggressive takedowns (just as the media has helped inculcate in the 'students')

3. Cancellation and eventually resignation/firing, i.e. demonetization

So, to defend the dean's cush gig and paycheck, he plays along with the rules of the game that the weasel "lawfare" combatants have worked hard to establish, by social if not actual literal legal precedent, which is to feign ignorance or impotence, or maybe both.

Kudos to your friend to speaking up. There are MANY MANY of us 'poor working sapps' that tolerate this utter rubish day in and day out, in every conceivable social venue (public shcool, corporate life, government tax subsidized (!!!) interatctions, etc) and we can only DREAM of having the wherewithall and frankly, the means and financial independence, to tell these fiends and ghouls where they can STICK their BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN.

As a non Catholic, I'll say that most people grossly misinterpret taking communion. Jesus was speaking metaphorically;

1 Corinthians 11:24

"[24]And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me."

He was saying as the bread is broken and consumed to sustain your physical life, his body would be broken in sacrifice and his mortal life ended to mend man's connection to God, Jesus being the bridge/"middle man". His sacrifice mends the original fall from grace that "original sin" created between God and mankind.

It's amazing to me how many people don't understand this.

To further clarify to anyone who's interested, Essentially Jesus took the beating meant for us. Paid off our debt, you could say. That's how he redeems our soul.

I'm not a crazy religious zealot, nor a saint, just trying to help. Doug did bring up the topic.

Great conversation. If you're not overseeing your child's education, someone who hates you and your culture just might be.

Absolutely. I think we should define overseeing though. And whether it’s even possible anymore.

Asking your kids what they learned each day, reading the materials sent home for parents. And attending parent teacher conferences is not nearly enough.

If you can’t be certain that your kids teachers actively oppose woke ideology, you should assume it’s slipping into the classroom in insidious ways.

Ask your school for a copy of the full curriculum. They probably won’t give it to you. When they don’t, you should assume there’s a reason they’re hiding it from you. If you knew, you’d never let your kid set foot in school again.

Matt, in our household, asking our kids what they learned is MOST DEFINITELY a daily/nightly ritual, for a variety of reasons, chief among them, to dispel any brainwashing and indoctrination that was cast upon our kids in school. I think every parent, regardless of whether they attend an inner-city public school or New England 'finishing' school, should do the same. Take an interest in your children's education. Let them see that it's important to you. How can children take an endeavor seriously (i.e. higher learning) if they can tell their parents don't, and people would be surprised at how refined and finely honed a child's innate B.S. meters can be. They certainly aren't going to lose sleep or sweat the small things of their schooling if they see that WE the parent don't

I agree. Many schools have literally become communist indoctrination centers. That's how they place Marxists everywhere to further developing their global socialist "paradise", paradise so long as you don't do, think or believe anything "politically incorrect"(a Soviet term) that is. Eventually they aim to take over the country and there's no organized opposition. The only rational thing to do at that point is bug out, if you can.

This is why we elected to homeschool our 4 children. One of them finished an associate’s degree at the local college before graduating high school (home school certificate) and he absolutely hated classes at the college but finished on the Dean’s List and with a really good gpa, but hated all the BS and decided that The Associates Degree was far enough.
