Correction to the podcast: The "news" I shared about Yellen and 401k was "fake news".
The error was entirely on my part. I saw a post on twitter just before starting the podcast with Doug. It was from an account I'd come to see as reliable. Normally, I fact check statements like this before I repeat them. I didn’t this time.
After the podcast, I wanted to find out more and couldn't find anything. Later, I discovered that the tweet was "a joke". I'm embarrassed to have made the mistake, but happy to see it was fake news. Let's hope it stays that way.
