From what Matt is saying the war monger cycle as I think of it is really under way. Its going to be about as successful as Ukraine or Vietnam etc. But what I am hopeful for is the very same lack of cannon fodder conscription capability and if they push it in the US ... Thats your internal civil war moment, which I think will be a good thing ultimately. Whatever it takes to bring the US to heel!

Sorry, I don't agree at all. Greenland is commonly owned. I wish that was the case everywhere. Even if there are only 50'000 people in Greenland, why should they agree to their island being destroyed by mining. If Trump or Black Rock takes over, Greenland will be destroyed.

Sorry you mix up DKK and USD. 1 DKK is about 0.15 USD

Your argument is therefore wrong. Greenland is isolated and it cost a lot of money to get there. That makes it expensive, but not that expensive.

Doug as a retired army officer you are correct on russia winning the war on the battlefield.

The war was won in Detroit and other american factories. I dont recall the numbers on war time prodution by nation but it was more than 10 to 1. We need to take this into account before we march off and fight china. The are like us in the 1940s. Just the cycle of empires as Sir John Glubb covered in his outstanding essay Fate of Empires.

I think it was brillant strategie to use the russians as cannon foder under Stalin. Also we were the only real economy left at the end of the war.

Russia won the 2nd World War. Absurd. Without US air support and supplies Russia would have been helpless.

I've learned a TON from Doug over the years & hate to disagree with him, even on this small point, but I must. The US has indeed been a corporation since 1871. Trump is the CEO of said corporation. We can surmise any number of things from that standpoint alone.
