Why is it controversial to have a critical view of this candidate? Being critical of one candidate doesn’t mean one isn’t critical of the others, but this article was about one particular candidate. Having a critical view toward those who seek power over others is a smart thing. (Btw, I’m not a fan of Cuomo or Ackman - the opposite.) As Doug C says, politicians are the kind who want to control others. Maybe Mamdani is the rare exception, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

While you have mentioned the positive attributes of Mamdani you have constantly adopted them with negatives related to imaginary future actions by him that do not exist. If he does not succeed in his job as mayor there is going to be no future for him in politics in the US so if you're that fearful of him and what he stands for, give him a chance and let him fail.
