At this point the short (perhaps nonexistent) list would be that of actions DC is taking which might support confidence in the US dollar.
Politically I would argue many are missing DC's real motivation for goading Trump into attacking Iran. The warmongers which infest DC get a new war plus they profit twice in this case. They get more war, hence the expanded power they lust for, and they get Trump to destroy himself politically.
Tragically I suspect Trump is actually losing it mentally, based on bizarre statements he's made recently, but even before his mind started to fail he was bamboozled by the likes of Fauci. Although I believe he was genuinely well intended with respect to the American people, unlike the self serving pathological control freaks who maintain their grasp on DC, Trump never really was all that astute.
Incidentally, for those who fantasize that DC is actually going to accomplish something positive by attacking Iran keep in mind it was defeated decisively by a remarkably small number of tribesmen armed with little more than small arms after 20 years with boots on the ground in Afghanistan. Iran is much more formidable. DC is packed with mentally unwell cloistered fools who never learn.
I feel the goal has been the control of oil to China. This may be used to continue the movement of rare earth minerals. This may be the only way we have some negotiating chips when it comes to China.
Do you think it possible that someone has determined that the perceived advantage of Reserve Currency status has been out-weighed by the Triffen Delimma effect? Weakening the Treasury market would serve as effective handcuffs on a spend thrift congress and end talk about MMT as the new great idea.
NATO is no longer useful and a tremendous economic burden. Do you think it would be advantageous for the US to withdraw? Trump cannot do it unilaterally but the other members could if they get angry enough. If only Trump could find a way to make them want to kick him out. And congress could not stop such a move. And don't worry, the firepower industry will always have customers.

Wow, Lau, excellent and too close to prescient for comfort, actually quite alarming but important to see clearly. As you demonstrate, we're on the edge of a Suez moment, and yet it seems virtually impossible that our strategic planners would not have alerted folks close enough to the president to get his attention, warning the administration of too likely long term calmainous consequences of this war in this manner. Surely Scott Besant knows better and yet he seems to committed to escalating the kinetic and economic war agaianst Iran, willing for the US and strategic partners to suffer, even violently, because he believes in this manner we will secure long term stability. I hope he's right and I'm wrong because it seems that we're going down the path of escalation and that, no matter what is next, we've already immence damage has already been done that can't easily or quickly be remedied.
