I was talking to the front desk clerk Tabitha. I mentioned that a crazy guy (wild and crazy imo) had gotten elected president of Argentina. He says he's going to burn down the central Bank of Argentina.
Tabitha: Why?
Me: Well it's just that they've been having 145% inflation.
Tabitha: I will send him matches!
It could be huge, my friends. We have the public send matches to the presidential palace in Argentina.
Another good one guys!
It’s fascinating for somebody that actually live in Argentina and interact with the locals the amount of BS put out on so many other sites about the new government here, that still are a week away from taking office!!!
Yesterday they (and its THEY, the VP is awesome and so many other people Milei has brought aboard really want to get things done) put forward 3000 regulations and 50 departments they want to get rid of. They have said that, if possible, in cooperation with congress, but if congress will not go forward with it they will use “executive orders” to get it done. Also yesterday, for the first time in Years, the police stopped riff-raff scumbags demonstrators from blocking the main road, both in BA and another province.
That’s BEFORE taking office!
Everyone I talk to in Buenos Aires are very happy and for the first time in a long time think things will change.
Time will tell! But the BS many that could not differentiate Argentina from Chad post online is amazing!
