I'm somewhat baffled by the plethora of various repetitive inputs trying to prop up this 'newsletter' now Lau has quit, many with little real value, just repeating their bi weekly Youtube news letter advert theme/s.
I can't speak for others, but I personally am highly pro-American. But not pro US Government. In my view, there is a huge difference between America and the US Government.
The patriots in 1775 and thereafter were highly opposed to the government that ruled over them at the time. Thomas Paine was critical (negative). Sam Adams too.
My 5th great grandfather was the first American officer to die in the Revolutionary War, at the Old North Bridge in Concord. I have to be a fan of him. They all opposed their government. Because that government was not deserved of their support. It taxed them and oppressed them, at least more tax and oppression than they wanted to take. We seem willing to tolerate a lot more such behavior from government now.
