As the Greater Depression approaches, serious cracks in our domestic food supply have begun to appear resulting in surging prices and even shortages.
The shortages are not driven by panic buying like we saw in the great toilet paper buying frenzy of 2020 at the start of the Covid hysteria. Today, we are witnessing shortages caused by a genuine reduction in supply and a breakdown of supply chains.
The ‘Egg Problem’
A major egg shortage driving prices up more than 300% in the last year has entered the public spotlight. Consumers are genuinely shocked.
The shortages are blamed mostly on an outbreak of avian-flu starting in early 2022 and leading to the culling of millions of chickens. One might wonder if these cullings were necessary at all since they were done as part of new protocols from the now discredited CDC under the guise of “Health Security”.
After the last couple of years we have reason to distrust the competence and motivation of the CDC. But, even if we assume that these massive cullings were the right thing to do, there are several bizarre coincidences which worsen today’s egg problem.
And, amazingly, there’s even a strange connection to a certain notorious billionaire - Bill Gates
Planes Crash and Factories Burn
An estimated 100,000 hens died in a weekend fire at a Connecticut farm. It’s one of several such fires that have killed millions of chickens around the country in recent years.
For many of us, 2022 was the first year that these fires caught our attention. Not only where there dozens of them, some of them were just plain uncanny.
Like the ones involving plane crashes…
What are the odds of two private planes crashing into and destroying two different food processing centers on the same weekend?
Contaminated Chicken Feed?
Adding to the mounting coincidences, we have evidence of contaminated or altered chicken feed affecting small producers and hobbyists causing their hens to stop laying eggs.
The two feeds in question are the two most popular chicken feeds in the country: Producers Pride, owned by the Tractor Supply Corporation, and Dumor brand, owned by Purina. When you dig into the feed situation and follow the money, things get interesting.
Producers Pride and Dumor feed from Tractor Supply are both manufactured by Purina Mills, which is owned by Land O'Lakes.
As it happens, Land O' Lakes is in a joint venture with one of the largest egg producers in the United States, Cal-Maine Foods Inc. Cal-Maine recently expanded their operation in 2022 and would stand to benefit greatly (and thus, so would Land O' Lakes) if the supply of eggs becomes diminished and prices increase significantly.
Connections to Bill Gates?
Land O' Lakes has a strategic alliance with Microsoft as of July 2020. As most of you know, Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, also happens to be the largest farm land owner in the United States. He is also a big investor in both artificial plant-based synthetic meat and artificial plant-based synthetic eggs.
Bill Gates and his investments always seem to be in the right place at the right time.
Is it a conspiracy? Is it coincidence? That is up to the individual to decide.
What to Do
Even with a product as simple as eggs, it's clear that a few mishaps or a little malintent can send the highly efficient system into chaos. In the "Before Times" as Doug Casey calls them, these problems would amount to simple inconvenience for most of us.
This 'egg problem' is different. It's not an isolated event. It's a symptom of systemic dysfunction that will likely grow exponentially from here and affect all of us in ways that are still difficult to imagine.
That's why Doug and I launched our private member service, Phyle.co, a few months ago. Phyle is for people who are awake to the challenges created by accelerating systemic dysfunction and are ready to focus on productive, individual solutions. That's what Doug and I are busy doing along with the 600+ members of Phyle.
You can still become a member of phyle today at the same promotional rate we used when we launched Phyle. But fair warning, the cost of membership will change soon. If you'd like to learn more, click here.
100K hens is a relatively small number, there are 60M in Iowa alone.
