Actually, I remember when you could buy a Big Mac, an order of fries and a milkshake for $1.00. Now north of $10. Gas? A quarter, which I would scrounge from the recesses of the family couch. Just sayin...
Hi Doug and Matt, just regarding the jewish issue some comments... as i see it the jewish tribe if you so want to call them got in trouble after the young and upcoming new religion called christianity blamed and framed them for the death of Jesus - and therefore God itself. Although they (the jewish) had not much to do with, the romans killed Jesus just for minor reasons, as they killed many in these days, and usually by the cross. That was the preferred execution method of the romans these days. The entire story with Pontius Pilatus asking the jewish in that court if they want him dead is just fiction, written in the 4th century. They (the new rulers of the new religion) just wanted to please the romans and ease their growth by blaming and framing the jewish religion.
I know you both have a lot going on and this podcast is probably a very small part of it, but listening to the analysis you give is a breath of fresh air after dealing with the public day in and day out. Thank you for taking the time and energy. It may seem like it is not a fruitful endeavor at times but it brings joy to my life.
I am a physician in rural Missouri. I don’t have any kids but seeing them in my practice over more than a decade has been very depressing. It is so different than my childhood in the early 90s. Your book “the preparation” is exactly the kind of messaging I see missing in these kids lives as they sink into drugs, apathy, depression, and social media. I only hope it can gain wide enough attention to get in the hands of a few of these kids and improve their lives as listening to your podcast has improved mine. It probably won’t be an impact that you can measure or even know about but even a handful of kids who are improved by it will have been worth it.
I hope the two of you find the temerity to keep doing what you do even if the positive effects are never directly apparent to you.
My grandson is grappling with his life choices as he graduates high school, as the military recruiting teams and the college recruiting teams circle like vultures seeking to devour our kids.
My grandson keeps trying to sell me on why joining the military is his ticket out of his dilemma and his ticket into the life he wants, and I keep telling him that he would need to sign his sovereignty over to them and then be forced to do heinous things, and take poisonous medical countermeasures, and he would not be able to stop them.
So, I bought, read, and gave him the “Preparation” so at least he knows that there is an alternative to college or the military.
We'll have to wait and see how it plays out. Hopefully there will be a sequel to the Preparation ten years from now when the seeds planted begin to bear fruit.
Thanks for writing it. With the ever changing world we're handing our kids, where none of the old rules apply anymore, it couldn't be more prescient.

I am talking about the reasons why jewish people are discredited and more since almost 2000 years. Where does this come from? That is a explanation.
That is really not why these days.Its to do with usury and recently chidren being killed.
