Few nobody's make it in Hollywood. Arnold's dad was an SS General. He is royally from somewhere like most ofvthe Hollywood and Music industry rags to riches tales. They need to keep the meritocracy myth alive.

This is what Elon was freaking out about. It's amazing how he's been instantly memory-holed. He was right that you can't grow your way out of such escalating debt. And can the tariffs work, or do they just add to the chaos?

Some of the best insights I've read about what happens in a collapse -- and why you need a Plan B -- are from Gyprat, who lived through the collapse of the Soviet Union. Found here: https://www.ar15.com/forums/Outdoors/-ARCHIVED-THREAD-Gyprat-s-insigths-into-societal-collapse-Frist-hand-experience-of-the-collapse-of-the-Soviet-Union-/17-687914/?page=2

Thanks, Laramie. Interesting stuff. I’ll probably need to write about my own experience at some point too. I was still pretty young when everything came crashing down, but it definitely left a mark. I remember my parents being in constant survival mode—and in hindsight, that period was probably the final nail in their marriage.

Wow. What country? I'm sure some of it is painful, but I would be extremely interested to hear/read about it. I've looked into past collapses in Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Soviet Union. The parallels and contrasts are fascinating. Keep up the great work!

Lithuania. Not trying to say it was all bad, of course. It was obviously a huge relief to finally throw off the yoke of the parasitic communist system. But as the saying/curse goes, may you live in interesting times—and we definitely did. Thanks, Laramie—I appreciate it.

Or it could be like 1789 in France or 1917 in Russia.

1917 Russia has some interesting parallels. An international cabal of private bankers (Jacob Schiff, et al) sponsor a revolution that then spirals beyond their control.

Back in the USA, I subscribe to Vivek Ramaswamy's view of things: Occupy Wall Street threatened to shake the bankers to their core circa 2016. So, a cabal of bankers and corporate interests co-opted the movement by agreeing to get behind DEI in return for the 99% shifting their focus away from income equality, bailouts, etc. It worked like a charm, but it may yet devolve into chaos the way the Russian Revolution did.

He does good work. The question is are we facing a similar collapse or something even worse?

I'm not sure that the pioneer spirit remains in the culture of the American people. Those days have faded away, maybe all that remains is the genocidal part of that time. It might really be different this time. The world is awakening and not in the mood to put up with bullies, so it remains to be seen how America will fare competing in a world where the playing field is beginning to level.

Stocking up on popcorn. It will be a fantastic show, the biggest, most beautiful show. A show never seen before as big and beautiful.

The collapse of the Evil Empire. And it's Evil Twin, Zionism.

Coming soon to a reality near you.

We’ve shipped a lot of jobs abroad as well and massively poisoned the citizenry in myriad ways. My ancestors immigrated on the Mayflower and from County Cork. They would freak out if they saw what it is like currently. Thanks for being a voice of logic. I’m not one for magical thinking having literally battled the drug zombie apocalypse in my state. I refer people to your site often.

I think your ancestors like mine, also from the mayflower, would get out of dodge.

Mr. Smith, since you are in a safe country and likely have more bandwidth to read than most Americans (a lot are no longer literate, sadly), you might enjoy A Bold Return to Giving a Damn by Will Harris. It was my favorite book of the last few years. He is a farmer/rancher from Georgia who returned to old ways of farming. As an unintended consequence of doing so, his operation essentially revitalized his community of Bufford, Georgia. I have no way to prove my assertion scientifically but I think people who live with and steward the land well are simply saner. I wish we’d just do that…return to the land, family, good values, love and proper land stewardship.

I unfortunately am more busy than i'd like to be. But, i'll put the book on my list. I agree that there is something important and wholesome about being connected to the land. I think the best book about this is Wendell Berry's The Unsettling of America.

Ah, Wendell Berry. That would have been someone worth knowing. Wholesome is one of my favorite words which makes me a complete misfit at this time. C’est la vie. Have a lovely evening…or day.

Who or what is the "It" you are meaning? USA or Uruguay? Another?

The USA as it currently stands. I have not been out of the country in 13 years so I do not know about elsewhere at this time.

Agreed. That said, it is now so lawless in America that the State can pull one’s driver’s license, confiscate one’s property….and the lawyers and “law enforcement” are lawless so I am having to figure out what the heck to do. This occurs especially if one goes up against the “establishment” or the big boys. Stuff I found out the hard way. It’s like being in the Hotel California song now. Those who can leave should definitely do so.
